A Good Group of friends

by Captain Brian 23. June 2009 20:46

Thanks guys for fishing the Waverunner and showing up on time. It was great to have all of you again this year and it was good having the tunas show up for us. The perfect fish for the perfect group. Big flat spot of tunas, two circles, ten 60lb'rs and on the way home at 9:20 am with a full box. Doesn't get much better than that!

Jeff Golden & the boys from Jersey

by Captain Brian 19. June 2009 20:40
It was great having you guys back again this year. Hope you guys keep the tradition up! Maybe next year Trent will come with you guys but I guess I can understand him wanting to kill a moose instead of taking home a mother load of dolphin and tuna. I guess you made it home o.k. because you didn't call me and niether did the police...ha ha. Remember October!

The dolphin fishing was really good for us and as always it is great having you all again this year. I'm sorry the weather kept us out last year but we made up for it this year with a great catch of dolphin and the view of the tower down at Diamond Shoals. Check out the view!

Check out the view Andrew and his buddies got to see on the way out!

Well we let the dolphin take a little rest today. We stirred up some tunas and just a few dolphin. No hog killing but a good catch and a lot of fun!

Tim, it was great seeing you again and meet all of your buddies. I think it is an inspiration and a blessing for what you guys are doing for the children that are less fortunate. I have a lot of respect for what you all are doing. Please send me a copy of the video and God Bless!!!

Hope to see you again next year!

Fishing Trips

Split Group

by Captain Brian 31. May 2009 21:38
We had a split group with a nice collection of fisherman. The dolphin fishing slowed down for most everyone today, but we manage to hook 15 really nice gaffers in which two were citations. As luck would have it we decided to go seeking a blue marlin and after about two hours he came to pay us a visit. Of course he went to Chucks pole and not mine. It's probably a good thing b/c Mr. Bob was up and everything went as planned. Great job on the pole! We will have pics of the Marlin after Mr. Bob emails them to us.

Fishing Trips

John Mac

by Captain Brian 28. May 2009 21:21
John has fished with us several times over the past few years and it is always a pleasure to have him aboard. I know this is the first time you have caught the dolphin with us and I hope you enjoyed watching them coming in after the baits...pretty cool huh! As luck would have it after catching your limit of dolphin we were fortunate enough to find you a limit of tuna and a limit of sea bass. Hope you and your wife enjoyed your bounty from the sea. P.S. Your camera case is on the boat. Call if you like. I plan to hold it for ransom so I can have you back fishing with usSurprised

About the Captain

Capt. Brian was born in Henderson, just a few hours from the Outer Banks. He was born in the rural areas on Buggs Island where he grew up catching stripers. His family made lots of trips down to the Outer Banks as he grew up and for years they fished offshore with many boats and at a young age this is what I wanted to do for a living so after finishing school at Vance Senior High in 1988 i made the move to do what I have always wanted to do! Moving to Hatteras, I fished with several captains as a mate for about 7 years then was offered a job as Captain on a private boat based out of League City Texas. I took this time to learn more about the fishing business and got to fish from many places that were very good such as Florida and the Bahamas. Wanting to run his own business, Brian moved back to the Outer Banks where he made his home with his wife Jessica and little boy Fisher. They are blessed to be where they are today and thank you for showing interest in fishing with Waverunner Sportfishing Charters.
